In the afternoon, head to Sintra, a Unesco World Heritage Site, and visit the National Palace, with the admission included in the tour. Then continue along the coast and drive by Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point of continental Europe, and on to Guincho, Cascais, a beautiful seaside resort, and Estoril before returning to Lisbon.

Lisbon’s glorious past will roll along before your eyes. You will see the 16th century Torre de Belem, from where many of the explorers set off, the nearby monument to the navigators and the Monastery of the Jeronimos, an epic piece of the native Manueline style of Gothic architecture.
In the heart of the city, you will pass the Praça de Comercio hub, the historic districts of Alfama, where Fado is said to have originated, and Alcantara, where royalty and nobility used to live. The boat will sail by the futuristic Parque das Naçoes, which was built for the 1998 World Exposition and has a number of striking examples of modern architecture, including the Oceanarium and the Vasco da Gama Tower. The cruise will also pass under the April 25 Bridge, a feat of Portuguese engineering

Toledo is located in an impressive location on a rock in a bend of the River Tagus. You shouldn't miss the chance to see El Greco's stunning Burial of the Count of Orgaz – considered by some to be the most beautifully crafted religious painting of all time – in the Church of Santo Tome, the artist’s parish church.

Enjoy the most breathtaking views of Barcelona from the comfort of the Montjuic cable car. This modern and secure service covers a 750-metre route with three stations: Montjuic Park, the famous Mirador de l’Alcalde lookout and Montjuic Castle. From the gondolas you can see sights such as the Plaça de Catalunya, Santa Eulalia Cathedral, the Sagrada Familia, the port, the Olympic Village, the Agbar Tower and the Forum.
Starting from Montjuic Park, climb to the castle at the summit of the mountain, which is perched 170 metres above city and harbour. The journey itself lasts about 10 minutes and there are services on average every 20 minutes. Each station is close to a number of major attractions, with the Mirò Foundation, National Palace, Poble Espanyol and Mies van der Rohe pavilion all near the Montjuic Park station. The Mirador station – which can be alighted at on downhill journeys only – offers easy access to the Mossèn Costa i Llobera Gardens, a paradise for cactus fans, and the Mirador de l’Alcalde itself, from where you can enjoy amazing views of the city and the Collserola Mountains. Admire Barcelona’s perfect grid shape and appreciate its true, vast scale. The station at the summit serves Montjuic Castle (admission not included).
The cable car was completely renovated a few years ago and state-of-the-art gondolas have been installed. All gondolas have been fully adapted for patrons with reduced mobility and baby buggies can be carried on board.
