The Royal Bridges & Canal Tour
Welcome to the boat tour of Stockholms waterways around the Royal Djurgården Island! Our 1 hour long tour will take you under a few of Stockholms 57 bridges and through it’s Royal Djurgården Canal builtby hand back in 1832.
During this boat tour you will have a good opportunity to see different views of the city from the water side and get the real feel ofit. The tour will take you along the narrow canal as well as the openbays and will provide you panoramic views of Stockholm’s skyline.
We will go along the shores of Östermalm, Djurgården, Nacka Strand and Södermalm as well as passing by outside the popular day trip destination the Feather Islands.
Day3:Tour in Stockholm
Stockholm Old Town Walk
Dare to time travel to an age when lords and ladies rode their horses through the narrow, cobbled streets, shopkeepers shouted out the daily deals from their doorways and animals hopped from rooftop to rooftop (well, only in the beginning perhaps!). Entering into the Old Town is like stepping back in time and having the city’s living history unfold around you.
In our very personal opinion, the Old Town of Stockholm is the ideal place to start your visit to this beautiful capital, especially if you want to get to know the Swedes (we’re not only Vikings you know!) and a bit about the city's long, fascinating history. If you’re looking for a short and sweet introduction to the historical centre of Stockholm, this tour is the perfect walking tour for you.
We begin at the exceptionally photogenic main square, Stortorget, in the heart of the Old Town (trust us, get your cameras ready!). At the Royal Palace, we will give you insight into how a gym owner and a reality tv-star became real-life royalty. While sampling a piece of a traditional candy cane, you will experience the result of the Swedes’ creative innovation skills. A quick look at the statue of Saint George and the Dragon, followed by the narrowest alley in Stockholm and a walk between old noble palaces, you’re now an expert of Stockholm's Old Town.
We end our walking tour of the Old Town on the island of Riddarholmen (“The Island of Nobility”), known for stunning views of the lakeside of Stockholm and the oldest building in town, proudly watching over the island for centuries. Now your Stockholm Old Town Walk is complete - what a treat!
Day4:Tour in Stockholm
Wildlife Safari
You are in Stockholm for a long weekend and would like to get a larger experience of what Sweden has to offer. You know that we have majestic animals in our wilderness and you would like to get the chance to see these creatures in real life. Well we got it all ready for you. We propose you this great safari that will give you the chance to spot many different animals iconic to Swedish wild nature. What about coming back home with experience of Swedish culture in Stockholm city but also having seen the wildlife in its natural habitat.
In the evening when the forest is starting to get mystical, comes the time for us to go out there. Indeed the wildlife is very often coming out from dusk to dawn. That’s when we bring you in nature to observe the wild life.
Starting from our office at 6pm and out until 8pm, earlier in winter time. We will have plenty of time to get the chance to see Swedish iconic wildlife, make a fire and enjoy a nice dinner cooked on wooden fire.
We will start by minivan through an area where we can see if any animal is awaiting for us. We’ll continue walking in the forest, around a lake where we know that there’s a great animal activity.
During the tour we will have time to talk about the different animals one can encounter in Sweden while in nature, their behaviour, their habits, what they eat, how and where to spot them and much more. Bring your questions along. We will have a break for a dinner before scouting the forest again.
Here a list of what exist mostly in our forests:
• Moose or elk is the very iconic animals of Sweden and we are very well planning on meeting him.
• The beaver: this shy and silent animals is rare to spot but can be encounter around water point.
• The wolf: no worries they’ll see you but you’ll never see them.
• The lynx: they are outnumber unfortunately and they live more towards the center of Sweden. They are probably the hardest animal to spot. Fantastic hunter.
• The bear: we couldn’t not mention it. Well we will talk about it but they don’t live on Stockholm region, so no worries, no encounter possible.
• Roe Deer are probably the most common to see and we will spot them grazing in herd on grass land.
• Fallow deer is a magnificent deer slightly bigger than the roe deer but having white dots on the fur. Hope we’ll see them.
• See eagle: Can be spotted sometime over the forest as the sea is never far.
• Woodpecker. So much to say about them, I’ll let you discover.
• Reindeer and wolverine: Those ones are very Nordic animals, they like cold, snow and high land for the wolverine. No chance to spot them.
• There are many other animals to talk about like the crow, hare, tetra, ant nest, grey owl, wild boar and many more that we will talk about during the safari
