Day 1 Arrival
Arrival to Sicily, Palermo airport, meet and greet and private transfer to the hotel in Sicily Palermo.
Day 2 Walking Tour in Palermo - Sovereigns and People
After a short walk from Teatro Massimo, we will enter the heart of the historic market, the U Capu, where history, tradition and street food mix with the voices and faces of the people of Palermo. See the restored baroque beauty, the Church of the Immaculate Conception. We'll pass through alleys, palaces and ancient legends to reach the Norman Cathedral with the tomb of Frederick II of Swabia and the silver "Vara" of Santa Rosalia. Among the gardens of Villa Bonanno and the ancient ruins of the Paleopolis, see the Royal Palace which houses 3,000 years of Sicilian history and the splendid mosaics of the Palatine Chapel in which the Arabs, Byzantines and Normans shared their knowledge, esoteric secrets, habits and life with great tolerance.
We'll continue walking along the ancient fortifications where we'll see and take a picture of St. John of the Hermits, a beautiful Arab-Norman building with its domes. We will discover the medieval quarters, Spanish facades and courtyards of the historic mansions. We'll walk through "Cassaro", the oldest street of Palermo. The tour will end when we reach the Fou

Day 3 : Palermo Sightseeing Bus Hop on Hop off

Day 4 Palermo's Ancient Crafts Tour
Meet your tour leader at Piazza San Domenico. From here, discover the places of Palermo’s ancient crafts along with the manufacturing traditions passed on generation after generation, by some proactive Sicilian families. Take a walk with us in the historical centre of Palermo, in which many of the streets were named after the most important and lucrative crafts over the centuries. Meet old and new generations of artisans that have brought new life in the city centre, rediscovering the old arts behind the handicraft production. It will be an opportunity to find out more about Palermo’s traditions and about the creation of beautiful manufacts.
